What is the Arctic tundra? It's a type of biome with extreme weather conditions. It has long cold winters and cool short summer days. During summer, the sun might shine 24 hours a day. Sometimes, the sun can remain for up to 2 months under the horizon. The Arctic tundra has permafrost ground which means that it is totally frozen. No plant roots or water can penetrate or go through it.
